$344K gift for all inclusive playground at Sertoma

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A total of $344,000 from three donations will go toward an all inclusive playground at Sertoma Park.

The Sioux Falls Noon Sertoma Club announced a $59,000 gift from Rick Hull, a community philanthropist, $275,000 gift from the Elmen Foundation and $10,000 from Premier Bank. The money will fund the Sertoma Legacy Playground.

The Sertoma Legacy Playground will be a place where limitations are removed, families feel welcome, and every child has the chance to experience the joy of play,” club spokesperson Scott Newman said in a news release.

The new playground will feature inclusive equipment like accessible surfacing for wheelchairs, sensory-rich play zones and other design elements for children with mobility, sensory and developmental disabilities…
