SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A high pressure system continues to slide off in KELOLAND today and it has kept our weather quiet with highs ranging from the 40s to the 60s.
While there has been little cloud cover, we will start to see mid to higher level clouds move in tonight due to a low pressure system in Canada. Temperatures will cool to lows in the 30s and more of these above average temperatures are going to be in store for the start of the weekend.
Highs are going to climb into the 50s for Saturday with plenty of sunshine. We will see more of this pleasant weather for Sunday and you will want to enjoy it because some big changes are going to occur for Thanksgiving Week.
The first low pressure system is going to lift out of the southwestern United States and bring rain chances to KELOLAND on Monday. Totals in southeastern KELOLAND could range from a trace to a quarter of an inch. It will be our last day with mild temperatures before our next system arrives going into Tuesday.
This time the system will be from the north and as a it drags a cold front across the Northern Plains, KELOLAND will be dealing with some gusty winds and the arrival of colder temperatures. In terms of precipitation, it is looking to be a mix of rain and snow showers due to temperatures falling throughout the day…
