Moody County has a new face helping guide its youth programs — and she’s hitting the ground running.
Tyenna Muller, a South Dakota State University student studying Ag Communications and Leadership, is the county’s new 4-H program leader through SDSU Extension. Originally from Pipestone, Muller has been heavily involved in 4-H and FFA since she was a child, taking on leadership roles, showing and raising Charolais cattle with her family, and competing in meats judging, quiz bowl, and livestock judging. She now also coaches a general livestock quiz bowl team.
Muller has been on the job for three weeks and is working to balance her new role with college coursework. She’ll work 15 hours a week through the beginning of the year, increase to 32 hours heading into spring, shift to 40 hours during the summer season, then return to 32 hours in the fall.
