Sioux Falls Residents: Snow Alert Issued With Parking Restrictions and Plowing Schedule Starting November 29

The City of Sioux Falls has issued a snow alert starting Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Winter weather is expected to affect the area. The Street Division began plowing emergency snow routes on Friday, November 28. Crews will continue until these roads are cleared. Vehicles parked on emergency routes during the alert may be ticketed or towed.

Plowing in Zone 3 will start at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 30, after emergency routes are cleared. All public streets in this zone will be plowed. Parking restrictions will remain in place until plowing is finished. In Zone 2, north-south streets will be plowed starting at 8:00 a.m. on November 30. East-west streets will be plowed starting at 8:00 p.m. the same day. Parking is not allowed on these streets during plowing. Restrictions will end when plowing is complete or at the specified times.

Zone 1, which covers the downtown area, will have snow pickup starting Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Parking is not allowed in this zone from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on that day. Downtown residents can use parking ramps during the snow alert…
