SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Chief of Police wants your help. Jon Thum has long maintained that stopping crime in the city starts with kids. He believes that mentoring can go a long way in reducing the number of young people who turn to drugs and crime.
And that’s why he is putting his full support behind current mentoring programs in the city.
Even with a busy schedule running a department with just shy of 300 police officers, Thum finds time to mentor a young person once a week.
