2 men sentenced for trafficking 35,000 fentanyl pills
Edward Brinkley is accused of killing 28-year-old Richard Sowers in March of 2024. The victim was shot and killed in a downtown apartment building.
Jurors heard opening statements this morning. This morning in the Minnehaha County Courthouse, a police officer’s body camera video was played for the jury which displayed a moaning, disoriented and bleeding Sowers
Court documents say early March 18 at 1:49 a.m. Richard Sowers can be seen leaving a downtown bar with two women. Video shows them walking up the exterior stairs to Sower’s apartment. Minutes later, Brinkley is seen leaving the bar and walking up the stairs…
