Two Dollar Fresh discount grocery stores, a chain owned by Hy-Vee, are transitioning into full Hy-Vee stores in Harrisburg at 201 E. Willow St. and in Tea at 725 E. 1st St.
Both Dollar Fresh Facebook pages changed to Hy-Vee on Nov. 28. The Hy-Vee exterior sign is installed in Harrisburg, as the interior continues construction to add a meat counter and bakery. Both Harrisburg and Tea stores are still listed as Dollar Fresh on Hy-Vee’s website. No formal announcement has been made on Hy-Vee’s website as of Dec. 15.
Both Tea and Harrisburg stores, located adjacent to grocery store competitor, Fareway Foods, have been under construction for a few months.
Dollar Fresh opened in Harrisburg and Tea in November 2021. Dollar Fresh had operated several stores in Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota and Nebraska. Tea and Harrisburg were the only Dollar Fresh stores in South Dakota…
