It’s been a windy 24 hours across KELOLAND. Rapid City and the Black Hills area saw extremely high winds throughout the day and night that saw trees falling down, signs on the ground and trampolines flying out of backyards.
Extreme winds bring damages across the Black Hills
The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree toy drive inside The Empire Mall is in its final two days. The Angel Tree, located in the Macy’s wing of the mall, has been manned by volunteers since mid-November. The Salvation Army makes sure the toys dropped off here will go to local children.

KELOLAND News is learning about a number of charges in connection with crimes behind South Dakota prison walls. Cole Waters, Creighton Cockerham, Elgin Logg, Jr., Kvaughn Elliot, Monterion Winfrey and Vilas Fallis Jr. are already serving prison sentences in Sioux Falls. And, according to new court documents they’re all accused of breaking even more laws while in custody.
