SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – December typically brings steady foot traffic to Philips Avenue, but repeated snowstorms and harsh winds have kept many shoppers at home.
“Unfortunately, wind is a huge factor for our flow of traffic downtown. And with the last few windy days, it’s been a little bit rough.” said Kelly Grovijahn, owner of MK Threads Boutique. “But like you said, it’s going to be gorgeous this weekend and we are expecting a lot of people out. And we get a lot of last-minute shoppers, so we’re expecting next week to be really busy also,”
