SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – TeamMates, LSS, The Helpline Center, and the Sioux Falls School District are launching a new campaign aimed at turning community awareness into measurable impact. The 25 by ’25 initiative sets a clear goal for growing mentoring relationships while highlighting the positive effects those one-on-one connections already have in Sioux Falls schools.
“There’s an issue of awareness,” said Brianna Venekamp, executive director and program coordinator for Sioux Falls TeamMates Mentoring. “More people are understanding the benefits of having a mentor. As we see an increase of mentors in the schools, we see more students self-nominate and say, ‘I want to have that too.’”
