SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Rapid City police are investigating two car vs pedestrian crashes that happened on the same day.
On Saturday, after 5 p.m. in the northeastern part of the city, witnesses reported that allegedly a pedestrian unexpectedly ran out onto the road before being hit by a pickup. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for the treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

A few hours later, just before 9 p.m., police were dispatched to a nearby intersection for a report of a pickup that had just struck two pedestrians. Investigating officers discovered that as the pickup attempted to make a left turn, the driver hit two people who were in the crosswalk, according to police.
The two pedestrians were transported to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup was also determined to be impaired due to marijuana ingestion, according to police. The driver was identified as a minor and has been entered into the juvenile justice system…
