SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – For volunteers at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House, serving a Christmas meal was about more than food, it was about showing up for people who may not have had anywhere else to go on the holiday.
Dozens of volunteers spent Christmas preparing and serving a full holiday meal to guests at the shelter, many of whom said the experience had become a meaningful tradition they return to year after year.
“I’ve been here a few years before, and it’s a very meaningful thing for me to do, so that’s why I keep coming back,” one volunteer said…
