SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – A South Dakota-based meat shop has now officially expanded into the state’s biggest city. Dakota Butcher got it’s start in 2009 in Clark and has moved into Madison, Pierre, Rapid City and Watertown over the years. Their sixth location is now open in Sioux Falls.
Dakota Butcher opened it’s doors in the Bridges at 57th shopping plaza earlier this week and even during the holidays people are stopping in to check it out.
“Sioux Falls we were pretty interested in because our family is down here. So, we thought we’d try it down in Sioux Falls,” owner Randy Grunewald said.

At Dakota Butcher you can peruse the fresh meat counter or check out the coolers full of sausage, meat sticks, jerky and more. There’s also pizzas and meals ready to take and bake at home. And starting January 1st there will be even more offerings like noon lunches at the deli and hot food at night…
