SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Another morning with thick fog in eastern KELOLAND.
DENSE FOG ADVISORIES are in effect for the morning in eastern KELOLAND. Visibility is less than half a mile at times, but conditions will improve as we head into the late morning.
Skies will become partly sunny in eastern KELOLAND today and it will be mild. Highs today will reach the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Enjoy the warm air today, because much colder air will soon sweep through the area.
A cold front will bring strong northwest winds and periods of snow. This front will move in tonight, so expect an increase in northwest winds during the overnight.
Strong northwest winds will continue tomorrow. The wind will bring in much colder air as temperatures remain steady or fall during the day.
Check out the wind chills tomorrow afternoon. Expect those values in the minus single digits and minus teens.
Winds may gust over 40 mph at times.
The wind will combine with snow to create areas of blowing snow. Use caution when driving as visibility will be reduced.
Snow amounts in southeast KELOLAND may reach an inch or two, while areas north and west will be less.
