TEA, S.D. (KELO) — A Tea family’s lives were changed on New Year’s Eve after their house caught on fire.
Less than an hour before the new year, Brady Hastings was lying down, getting ready to go to bed when he smelled smoke.

“When I opened up the garage door, that’s when the smoke came into the house and set off the smoke detectors,” said Brady Hastings, whose house caught fire New Year’s Eve. “I yelled for everybody to get out and started getting a fire extinguisher.”
Hastings, his wife and their four kids ran to the neighbor’s house for help…
