I like to know what’s going on. I don’t mean that in a nosy neighbour sort of way, though I will admit to loving hearing gossip. But I’m talking about knowing what’s going on around town.
I definitely have a ‘see for myself’ attitude. The weather folks can tell me it’s cold out, but I need to go outside to see for myself. That’s why I love some of the things the City of Sioux Falls offers.

I like the Snow Alert Tracker that the City has. You can keep track of where the snowplows are as they clean up after storms. It’s nice knowing that the plows are close and which streets are clear.
Another really cool thing in Sioux Falls is the traffic cameras that the City has set up around town at some of the busiest intersections. I’m not talking about the ticketing kind of cameras. These are windows into what traffic is doing around town.

A good live cam is like having a window where you can watch the activities anywhere in the world. The Sioux Falls traffic cameras are handy when it snows. You can look ahead and get an idea of the conditions and the level of traffic (SEE THEM HERE).
