It all began in 1942, when Jesse Lewis and George Fredrickson joined forces to establish the first self-service drugstore in South Dakota. They called it Lewis Drug, and the company has expanded over the last 83 years to 61 Lewis Drugs in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.
