State Legislator becomes sixth candidate to enter Sioux Falls mayoral race

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – On Wednesday night, a big announcement was made from a current State Representative and former Sioux Falls City Councilor.

In a campaign kick-off event at Falls Overlook Cafe, Greg Jamison announced he will be running for mayor. Jamison is now the sixth candidate to officially announce their entry into the race, joining Joe Batcheller, Christine Erickson, Marshall Selberg, Jamie Smith and David Zokaites. It’s also his third attempt to win the mayor’s office after he fell short in 2014 and 2018.

Admittedly, it was a difficult decision for Jamison to make. He said he went back and forth on whether to run for the state legislature again or to run for mayor again, which is why he made his announcement so late into the race…
