SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Some voters may very well consider 56-year-old Scott Morris of Sioux Falls a long-shot to become governor of South Dakota… and he doesn’t at all dispute the description. Nevertheless, he’s asking the public to consider his candidacy and see what they think.
“We don’t have the name recognition, and we don’t have the money,” Morris said Monday, comparing his candidacy to that of others. “But, Dan, I will tell South Dakota voters, if you take away their money and their name recognition, and you just put our qualifications and our accomplishments up, they will find merit in what we did, and they will find us very intriguing.”
The retired Air Force veteran is running as an independent for the South Dakota governor’s office in 2026…
