SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – On Monday, a Spearfish woman was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
According to the DOJ, 35-year-old Sindy Richards was a prolific drug dealer in western South Dakota, joining a conspiracy to distribute meth in 2023.
During her involvement, she worked with others to get meth from California, typically through the mail, for redistribution in and around the Black Hills. Identified as being closely associated with the main drug dealer in this case, Richards assisted him in meeting with other Rapid City co-conspirators to further distribute meth.
