SDSU Metro Center expected to open this fall in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Sioux Falls and South Dakota are seeing a rebound in healthcare education after the pandemic exposed workforce gaps.

Enrollment in nursing, pharmacy, and other high-demand health programs is growing again, fueling projects like the new SDSU Metro Center on 33rd Street and Minnesota Avenue.

The facility will train up to 400 students annually in these critical fields, producing more than 1,200 graduates over the next five years to help fill local healthcare openings…
