Yankton man sentenced for selling fentanyl resulting in 15-year-old girl’s death

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A Yankton man has been sentenced after being convicted of Distribution of a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death.

Evan Nelson, 20, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $8,860.66 in restitution to the victim’s family.
