A Madison native and former Sioux Falls attorney is leading the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance for the FBI.
Heith Janke is the special agent in charge of the Phoenix office and has gained international attention for his role leading the investigation into the disappearance of the 84-year-old mother of NBC “Today” host Savannah Guthrie.
He’s a graduate of the North Dakota State University, where he became a national champion in the 800 meters at the 1998 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
