SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It has been a busy day of weather in northeast South Dakota, and the snow could hit Sioux Falls by Thursday.
The potential for snow is on the Street and Fleet Division’s radar. To help get a plan together, street operations manager Dustin Hansen and other members of the public works team hopped on a call Wednesday morning with the National Weather Service.

“We’re hearing a few different reports of it could be a half inch to, 2 to 3 inches. Sometimes, these later events can kind of swing south or north, but we’ll be prepared for anything. If we need to plow the city, we’ll obviously plow the city. If it’s just a little event where we get half an inch of snow, we’ll make sure those emergency routes are ready to go,” Hansen said.
