UPDATE: 5 vehicles involved in Roosevelt parking lot crash

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Five vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday in the Roosevelt High School parking lot.

During the Sioux Falls Police briefing on Friday, Sgt. Aaron Benson stated multiple reports of a crash at Roosevelt. The driver, who was a juvenile, was driving east through the parking lot. The driver lost control and hit a parked car, which then pushed into four more parked cars.

A total of five cars were damaged, plus the vehicle the juvenile was driving. There were no passengers in the vehicles that were parked. One juvenile passenger was in the vehicle that was being driven. They complained of leg pain after the crash, but they did not receive any medical treatment.

The school sent out an email right after the incident and is reminding drivers that unsafe driving on the property can result in consequences, both in and out of school. The speed limit of the parking lot is 15 mph…
