Tea, SD man sentenced to federal prison for conspiring to distribute meth

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A man from Tea, South Dakota, was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison after being convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance.

48-year-old Sean Blanchfill was indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance by a federal grand jury in February 2025, pleaded guilty in November 2025 and was sentenced on March 2, 2026.

Blanchfill was part of an organization that obtained meth in Arizona and distributed it around the Sioux Falls area…
