Former Centerville, S.D., mayor Jay Ostrem will soon have his day in court for three alleged murders in the southeastern South Dakota town in late May 2024. Ostrem is accused of killing Paul Frankus, Zachary Frankus and Timothy Richmond; he has pleaded not guilty.

Authorities at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office say the southbound lanes of Highway 115 at Tom Sawyer Trail on the west side of Harrisburg were shut down while crews responded to a structure fire in the area. Officials are still asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
