Name released in Interstate 90 crash near Alexandria

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 near Alexandria Friday.

Crash backing up I-29 traffic near Harrisburg Exit

Penny Marie Buum, 60, was heading east on Interstate 90 in a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado near mile marker 351, according to a press release from the South Dakota Highway Patrol. She lost control of the vehicle and it entered the south ditch, the highway patrol said.

The vehicle rolled several times and the driver was ejected. Buum died at the scene.

The crash happened at about 5:36 p.m. Buum was not wearing a seatbelt…
