Pork producer on new plants: ‘Hardly even smell anything’

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — As public debate continues around Smithfield’s new processing facility in Foundation Park, a pork producer who regularly hauls hogs to the current Smithfield location says the new project could dramatically improve the daily experience for drivers.

The Sioux Falls City Council will consider the first reading of the proposed TIF district at Tuesday’s meeting. At Monday’s meeting in Crooks, residents focused on unwanted hog truck traffic with the Foundation Park location.
