Missing man’s remains found in Pennington County
A few years ago, Eleanor Turner started a medical non-profit to honor her son Owen.
“He was 12 and a half when he passed away from a rare chromosome disorder,” Eleanor Turner, founder and president of Owen’s Outfitters, said. “During his life, we received a lot of help and support from friends, family, community members and after he passed, we thought this would be a great way to pay forward some of that support we received. He had a lot of medical equipment during his lifetime, he had a lot of medical complications.”
Owen’s Outfitters started as a few pieces of medical equipment in their basement, but now it’s grown into a whole lending library in Sioux Falls. She says each month they give away about $400 thousand in medical equipment completely free of charge to their clients…
