It’s been nearly a week, and many of those who live in and near the Crooks community, just northwest of Sioux Falls, are still, as many put it, “madder than a hornet.”
More than 100 area individuals attended a community meeting in Crooks on Monday, March 9, to speak against the newly proposed Smithfield Foods facility, raising concerns and questions surrounding the quality and way of life in their small town.
