In an email sent to families, the school district states, “Hello SFSD Families – The National Weather Service is predicting snow and high winds this weekend. As a precaution, students are bringing their school devices home today (Friday, March 13th, 2026) in case a Remote Learning Day is needed on Monday, March 16th, 2026.”

The SFSD said as of early Friday morning, it is planning to have school ‘in-person’ on Monday. If a change becomes necessary, it will communicate with families through email, phone, and text.

SFPD also urges parents to remind their child to use the device for schoolwork only and ask that the devices not be used over the weekend unless it is for school purposes…
