SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Xcel customers in South Dakota, Minnesota and North Dakota will get refunds based on a nuclear energy tax credit, the company said on Tuesday.
The average refund over 10 months is $2.26 per month in South Dakota, $2.05 per month over 12 months in North Dakota and $2.46 per month over nine months in Minnesota.

The average refunds are based on average residential use. The refund period starts May 1 in South Dakota and April 1 in Minnesota and North Dakota.
