MANKATO, Minn. (USF) – The University of Sioux Falls softball team dropped a pair of NSIC contests today, falling to Minnesota State in a doubleheader at the Maverick Sports Dome. The Cougars were shut out in both games, losing 8-0 in game one and 3-0 in game two.
Minnesota State used a big inning in the opener and timely hitting in game two to secure the sweep, while the Cougars were limited to just five hits across the two games. Sioux Falls moves to 19-16 overall and 7-3 in NSIC play following the setback.
