Storm Center PM Update: Cool Start to the Week; Late Week Rain

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Considering how the day prior went for several portions of KELOLAND, Easter Sunday has been able to go along with fewer hitches.

A brief shot of cooler air moves into eastern and northeastern KELOLAND for Monday and even Tuesday as well, while areas to the west only get Monday for their cooler weather. We’ll warm up a bit out west on Tuesday.

We’re going to have a back-and-forth ride along the thermometer through the second half of the week, with warmer weather on Wednesday followed by a small step back on Thursday. From there, we’re going to see warmer temperatures come back as we head into next weekend.

In terms of moisture, it’ll be tough to come by at first. Beyond a few isolated rain/snow showers through Tuesday and even Wednesday for some, we’re mainly dry into at least midweek.

Additional rain chances come into the picture by the weekend with those warmer temperatures that were mentioned earlier.

Beyond the 7 day forecast, odds for above average temperatures are favored as we head into late April.
