Police make an effort to reduce reckless driving

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A grant from the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety has allowed officers to spend more time on the lookout for speeding and reckless driving since the beginning of 2024.

The Sioux Falls Police Department Police has partnered with other agencies such as the Lincoln and Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Offices, South Dakota Highway Patrol as well as the Lincoln and Minnehaha County State’s Attorney’s Offices to fight against the issue of reckless driving.

As the weather gets warmer and more people are outside to enjoy the summer air, one person says drivers need to stay safe in their lane.
