The 38th annual Avera Race Against Cancer on Saturday, May 9, drew 8,636 participants and raised more than $950,000 through events in cities across the Avera footprint, including Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, Mitchell, Pierre and Yankton, SD and Marshall, MN.
Both registration numbers and dollars raised are new records for the annual Avera Race.
