Farmers watching water levels closely

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — South Dakota state officials are responding to worsening drought conditions across the state as rivers and creeks continue running low. In eastern South Dakota, farmers along Split Rock Creek say this is some of the lowest water they’ve seen in years.

For generations, water from Split Rock Creek has helped keep Jarrod Johnson’s family farm running.
