The Sioux Falls Betterment Foundation on Thursday, May 14, announced a Grand Marshal for the return of the Sioux Falls Independence Day Parade this summer.
Committee Chairman Aaron Levisay said during a press conference, in partnership with state historian Dr. Ben Jones and City Councilor Rich Merkouris, that 1973 Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Michael J. Fitzmaurice will lead the ceremonial procession along Phillips Avenue that will also commemorate the nation’s 250th birthday.
