Fields flooded, grain bins flattened: Impact of storms

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Storm damage across southeastern South Dakota impacted hundreds of people.

Fields were flooded, power lines went down and farming equipment was destroyed. A home near Freeman, which saw wind gusts over 90 mph, was left with three broken windows. In that same area, a farmer’s fields were filled with rainwater.

The widespread damage done by the wind extended to Parker. A farm lost a grain bin, and another was dented.

Along a dirt road, poles were snapped in half. Farming equipment was knocked over by the high winds…
