World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series points leader David Gravel started off the night at Jacksonville Speedway very strong, but during the feature he had an up-and-down race, but was eventually able to salvage to a fifth place finish.
Gravel recapped the night saying, “Started off great, going quick time, ran second in the heat. I drew my pill in the Dash, did a terrible job, and drew an 8. Went 8 to 6 in the Dash. They did a bunch of track rework.”
As for the feature, he shared, “I felt like I got a good start there in the feature. And the 7 car jumped and bounced, tried to dodge him, and didn’t gain any spots there. And then when we got going I was running the bottom. Ran the bottom a little bit too long. And then the 7 spun out in front of me, made contact with him, and then the 6 drove into my left side ’cause he pry had nowhere to go. Bent the nerf bar pretty bad, but on the open red the guys cut the nerf bar on the side.”…
