SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Boss’ Pizza & Chicken on West 26th Street re-opened Friday afternoon after abruptly closing a few weeks ago. And Michael Shelburg, the new franchise owner of the location, is no stranger to the brand.
“I’ve been here with the company, off and on if you will, for almost 20 years now,” Shelburg said. “I did co-own a Boss’ with Jeremy in South Sioux City, Nebraska, for a couple of years. Got a lot of practice.”
Jeremy Seefeldt is the founder of Boss’, which got its start around 21 years ago in the now former location on Minnesota Avenue. In 2020, Seefeldt and his wife made the decision to franchise the business and four years later they sold the two Sioux Falls locations to the same franchisee.

“My wife and I understand that, you know, some of the service and quality hasn’t been up to par and we take, you know, our responsibility in that with not holding the old franchisee accountable,” Seefeldt said. “But what I do know about the new owners, Mike and Sandra, is that they understand what it takes from a customer service standpoint and a quality standpoint to make sure that customers are happy.”…
