Spokane County plan would fund two West Plains PFAS navigators

Spokane, Wash. — Spokane County commissioners are considering an agreement that would reimburse the Spokane Regional Health District up to $100,000 for two navigators to help West Plains residents with PFAS-contaminated wells.

Under the proposal, the health district would recruit, hire and supervise the two workers from January 1, 2026 through September 30, 2026. The agreement said the county would cover eligible costs tied to that work.
