SPOKANE, Wash. — The family of a Cheney native found dead in Mexico while on a vacation with her boyfriend continues to push and hope for justice roughly four and a half years after she was found dead.
Sativa Transue was just 26-years-old when she was killed in November of 2021, in what family members describe as a case of domestic violence. The couple lived in Western Washington and took the trip to Cancun for the Thanksgiving holiday, according to previous reports. The family says they were told Sativa had been beaten and strangled.
