Heat returns in a big way leading to strong storms tomorrow

Following the cool showers of Tuesday, a big push of southerly heat arrives over the next couple of days. Highs reach the upper-70s and 80s on Wednesday and reach the upper-80s and 90s on Friday.

Any thunderstorms on Wednesday will be limited to North-Central Idaho in the lower portion of the panhandle. Storms become stronger and more widespread tomorrow.

The Storm Prediction Center is putting the Inland Northwest in a 1/5 Marginal risk for severe storms tomorrow. High heat and plentiful atmospheric moisture is creating strong instability. An atmospheric wave will cross through during the afternoon and evening creating a trigger to fire off the storms themselves.
