Students return to Ferris High School following HVAC malfunction evacuation

SPOKANE, Wash. — Students and staff at Ferris High School are returning to the building Friday after firefighters determined smoke reported inside the school was caused by an HVAC fan, according to Spokane Public Schools.

The smoke originated in a second-floor bathroom after an HVAC motor became stuck.
