Idaho Highway Accident Claims the Life of an Elderly Motorcyclist From Washington

The first fatal motorcycle accident in Idaho’s ‘100 Deadliest Days’ was reported by the Idaho State Police on Friday afternoon. The ‘100 Deadliest Days’ began over the Memorial Day weekend with drivers hitting the road to celebrate the holiday.

ISP reported seven serious accidents over the weekend, with five fatalities and twelve people injured and requiring hospitalization. No motorcycles were reported as involved in those accidents.

On Friday afternoon, May 29th, around 2:30 PM, an officer with the Rathdrum Police Department arrived at the scene of an accident on the mile marker 11 on-ramp of Interstate 90. The officer called for assistance from the Idaho State Police.
