SPOKANE, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and Washington State Patrol (WSP) announced work zone speed camera enforcement was expanding into the Spokane area as part of a push to slow drivers in active construction and maintenance zones.
The first local project to use the cameras was the I-90 BNRR Bridge to Geiger Road paving project, which sits roughly between State Route 904 and Geiger Road on Interstate 90. WSDOT said the project was expected to bring lower speeds and lane closures through the summer while crews replaced damaged asphalt.
