Fire weather watch issued in Spokane through Tuesday night

The NonStop Local weather team has called a WEATHER ALERT beginning Sunday evening through Tuesday evening.

SPOKANE, Wash. – A Fire Weather Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for the Spokane area and surrounding regions, beginning Sunday at 10:51 a.m. through Tuesday at 11:00 p.m.

The affected areas, according to NWS are:

  • Okanogan Valley (Zone 703)
  • Methow Valley (Zone 704)
  • Foothills of Central Washington Cascades (Zone 705)
  • Waterville Plateau (Zone 706)
  • Western Columbia Basin (Zone 707)
  • Eastern Columbia Basin—Palouse—Spokane area (Zone 708)
  • Lower Palouse—Snake River (Zone 709).
