SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley leaders discussed stricter firework codes as the yearly climate trends are becoming drier and hotter, raising concern about fire danger in the region.
A city council proposal on Tuesday stated firework possession in city limits would lead to potential criminal charges. This discussion came the same day the Upriver Fire in Spokane Valley broke out, showing how fast a fire can spread.
